Law of Three (91) Resistance, the work of intelligence

 

Intelligence is controlled by what is God in us.  This may be the "I "that is truly whole, not a fragmentary pattern of thinking or feeling, not one of the many personalities that haunt our bodies. The "I" is the core of all our real decisions and, its command, once accepted in our being, must be obeyed utterly.  For many people the real decision the "I" has made is to be born.    A.G.E. Blake.  Intelligence.

 

 

 

Intelligence informs each of the three independent forces of any triad.  In a game of chess, intelligence divides itself into three forces to play with itself. The three forces are the two players and the rules of the game.    Sports like football, show clearly the interaction and play of contrary forces and the relating or reconciling 3^rd force of the rules of the game. The interaction of the three forces serves to entertain the emotions and feed duality.

 

However, Intelligence has its limits: “Intelligence is controlled by what is God in us”.

 

Intelligence works in curious ways. In Genesis God said: of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil thou shall not eat. The prohibition (a resistance) went against the natural human desire for knowledge of good and evil. Out of the prohibition arose the the act of disobedience (3^rd force).  This cosmic incident is referred to as the happy fall. After eating of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil God could not find the couple. God called them and they responded that they were hiding because they were naked.  Thought separated them from the awareness of the presence of God. The human drama began.

 

In the Spiritual paths Disobedience has consequences.  The structure of the Rule is geared to develop the power to hear the voice of God. Its message is “to hear is to obey.”  The Rule presents Jesus as a model of obedience and humbleness. In Gethsemani He asked the Father not to put him to his to the final test. He obeyed.

 

“True decision comes from the true "I”.   Once decision is accepted in our being it must be obeyed utterly.  

 

The risk in hearing the voice our or deeper Self is the risk of disobedience. Can it surprise us that humanity al targe avoids having ears to hear the divine command: to love our enemies.
