THE LAW OF THREE (88) NOTICING

LAW OF THREE (88) NOTICING

The next world is not like the popular idea of somewhere we shall enter after death.  It is the next world of here and now.  It is only closed to us because we have become almost totally conditioned to living in the world of these sense perceptions and the thinking which is an illusory and not even an existing world.

J.G. Bennett.

There is a kind of information that at times enters our awareness in the form of a sudden noticing of something we have been looking for which was near us all the time. The change from noticing to not noticing is not a causal phenomenon.  It arises unexpectedly and almost accidentally.

We may be sitting in front of a key ring that we have been looking for for weeks, but we are not noticing it. Our conscious connection to the key-ring is missing.  When we suddenly notice it, an instantaneous change in our awareness occurs. We are aware and present.  Where were we before we noticed the key ring?

To Notice the unexpected, we need to be present and receptive.  The unexpected is 3rd force.  I often walk up and down our little house in a wakeful and receptive mood, hoping for the revelation of treasures hidden before my eyes.  Suddenly I notice a suspicious little crack in a wall, a lost postcard, the strange figure in a picture.  All these objects are calling me and filling me with energy to respond.

Noticing is freely given. It is nothing we can do.  In noticing, our attention has to be free to receive.  Noticing breaks the duality that we are locked into and brings space and colour into our daily lives.  It is only when we notice that we have the possibility of choosing and changing the course of our lives.

“Noticing enters our lives from another dimension or another world.  It is one of the simplest ways that influences from a higher world come into this world.”  J.G. Bennet.
